TISAX
What is TISAX?
TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) is an internationally recognized information security standard specifically developed for the automotive industry. It was created in response to the need to demonstrably protect sensitive information, from development plans, prototypes and technical innovations to customer personal data and internal strategic documents.
TISAX is based on the ISO/IEC 27001 standard and extends it with the requirements of the VDA ISA methodology, which reflect the specific security needs of the automotive sector. Manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Daimler therefore require the implementation of TISAX as a mandatory prerequisite for cooperation within their supply chains.
Achieving the required TISAX assessment result demonstrates that the organization manages information security at a level recognized by industry standards, including the protection of sensitive data, processes, technologies, and prototype production.
